Immigration Law

I believe that I was the first immigration lawyer to practice in Northeastern Pennsylvania, and it has been my honor to help local immigrant communities. I was part of the legal team that challenged and defeated Hazleton’s “Illegal Immigration Relief Act”. You can learn more about the Hazleton case here:

Immigration law is a complex and confusing maze of statutes, regulations and court decisions. The stakes are very high, and the process of obtaining or changing immigration status is usually daunting.

When you are looking for immigration information, including forms, be careful and be aware of who you are dealing with. With few exceptions, the staff of USCIS will not help you – in fact, I have had several clients report that USCIS staff members gave them advice that was wrong and that could have put them into removal proceedings.

If you are looking for immigration forms, keep in mind the following:

Immigration forms are free.  Anyone who tries to charge you for immigration forms is stealing your money.

Immigration forms change frequently, with little warning.  Be sure that the forms you use come directly from the USCIS or State Department.
